Before TTS
Kayla’s connection with TTS began long before she officially joined our program in June 2022. Seven years ago, our current Program Director, Christine, met Kayla and became familiar with her struggles with addiction. Christine watched as Kayla faced numerous relapses, battling tirelessly to overcome her addiction and achieve sobriety.
Understanding the Challenges
When Christine took over as Program Director, she brought with her a deep understanding of Kayla’s journey and a commitment to providing the support she needed. With Christine’s unwavering encouragement and guidance, Kayla embarked on a transformative path with TTS.
Despite the challenges, Kayla made remarkable progress. Through sheer determination and hard work, she not only met but exceeded the expectations of our program, graduating a full year early. TTS is typically a three-year program, but it truly depends on our clients’ dedication and effort. Kayla exemplified this commitment, fully engaging with every opportunity for growth and self-improvement.
A Bright Future
Today, Kayla has secured a stable job in Lincoln City, earning an income that supports both her and her two daughters. This achievement marks a significant milestone in her journey, symbolizing her resilience and ability to overcome what once seemed impossible.
Making Room for Another Family
Kayla’s early graduation also creates a ripple effect of positivity. Her success opens up a home for another family in need. A mother and her two children, who have been staying at the Union Gospel Mission (UGM), will now have a place to call home and begin their own journey of transformation.
